1. The Upside-down cake

As the name suggests this is a cake baked ‘upside-down’ in a single pan usually a skillet with its toppings at the bottom of the pan. From the oven, the finished preparation is flipped over onto a serving plate thus the name upside down.

A cupcake is a cake baked in a small thin paper or aluminium cup. Usually designed to serve one person, the individually portioned cakes are easily distributed without need for knives or other utensils. As with larger cakes, frosting and other cake decorations such as fruit and candy may be applied. Cupcakes in general come in almost every flavor like traditional cakes. 3. Pound cake

The cake gets its name from its first wedding. It was first created as a wedding gift for Prince Louis of Battenburg and Princess Victoria.
